KomoLaniKomoLani means: Doorway to ParadiseThis is KomoLani, our 14 acres of sanctuary on the south side of Maui. The view there is mountain, ocean, sky, stars, and moon. Our dream for this land is a thriving vegan eco-educational retreat, where gardens flourish and orchards are abundant. A place, open to the community, signatured with sustainability and permenant agriculture. Get away from all the stresses life can bring and get a refreshing new look at life and yourself. KomoLani is a Magical Place of hands on learning, healing, motivation, rest, and rejuvenation. This land is up a four wheel drive road, so is pretty remote and great for a break from everyday life. The mountain side that the 14 acres sits upon used to be entirely covered with Sandalwood trees. Many many years ago every last tree was cut down to leave a naked mountain side. One of the projects there is to reforest the land with native foliage as well as an abundance of fruit trees and permaculture gardens.
